BUCKET LIST BEFORE 30

By  |

I wanted this Bucket list post to come yesterday but it didn’t seem like the right post for Monday. So here it is. This is one post that I love not just because I get to see what others hope to achieve but because it serves as a reminder to the writer. I love writing down anything, just anything on my mind. When the bucket list thought came, I decided to go for it. It’s not new to bloggers as it seems to me like a “must have” post. This list reminds me of so much that I want to achieve as a young lady in her 20s and it helps me focus on what’s really important, on living an awesome lifestyle. So let’s do this!

1) EXERCISE

In my university days, I used to be so slim with the flat tommy and all. I loved my body. I went for my NYSC and returned and the music changed. At a point, I was adding weight and so did my tommy. I have been lazy ever since to take care of it but whenever I decide, I will not just work on the tommy but also make it a habit to exercise every morning or evening. My body needs this and I know this!

2) LEARN TO DRIVE

Though I’m always scared to the bone about driving but I hope to conquer this fear some day before 30. I will definitely have a driver, no doubt because I can’t deal with the Lagos craze. Hopefully, I will also get to buy the car myself! With my own money and not daddy or mummy’s money.

3) EAT PIZZA

Did I hear you scream?????? Hahahahahahaha. I can imagine how your face is looking right now. I’m one of those who haven’t tasted even if it’s a pizza crumb (does it have crumbs? 😝) I know it’s 2016 and I hope to take this one off this year sef. So you understand what I mean when I say I’m old school. I feel like I am my grand mother in my young skin. #weird

4) VOLUNTEER

I want to do a lot of this and a whole lot more. I currently put in for one and I have been contacted. I hope they get to decide quick so I can get the feel already. In case you are interested in volunteering too, check this link. It’s sometime around August 1-13. If you know of anyone, please keep me posted.

5) WEAR A BIKINI ON A BEACH

I know Darlington will be looking at me like “Did she just say that?” I just did braaah. I have about 4 bikini’s and I haven’t worn any of them before. I doubt if they still fit. The last I went to a beach was when I was a kid and I was always dressed in shorts. So I hope to wear one someday and just let the air take over my body. And that’s when my tommy goes back to flat, of course.

6) COLLABORATION WITH A BIG BRAND

I love to make things happen. I love to leave a mark. So, I look forward to organizing something amazing with a multi national brand and it has to be something about making dreams come true. Purpose wins!

7) TRAVEL WITHIN AFRICA

I haven’t crossed the borders of Nigeria before but when I do, African countries will have my feet on their sands. I have seen lots of pictures and movies and Africa is just beauuuuutiful. Oyibo land will see me o but Africa has me first!

8) TRAVEL WITHIN NIGERIA

I have been to about 9 countries in Nigeria and that’s so poor for me. I haven’t been to the south and I hope to do something about it soon. Please, one organization should come and sponsor my trip to 5 states in Nigeria o. It’s not long throat o, it’s faith! 5 states in 20 days ain’t a bad idea at all. #tourismginger #Ollietakesnaija

9) STAR IN A MOVIE

I am for real o. I just want to see what I will look like on screen. You know, not as Joy but maybe as that boss lady who is resisting love or a funny bone. I don’t want waka pass. Real movie. Real role. Lol.

10) PLAN A MEET BETWEEN MY MUM AND ONYEKA ONWENU

Lord, keep both of them alive for me. My mum loves Onyeka Onwenu so much. Chidinma a.k.a Miss Kedike, got my mums hundred percent support because she performed Onyeka Onwenu’s song at Project Fame West Africa. So, I understand this means a lot to her and I pray, pray, pray that I achieve this before age thuuuuurty.

11) TED TALK

Ted Talk is a very inspiring platform where creative minds give a talk on their personal lives, job, challenge, lifestyle etc. It is a must watch for every entrepreneur. Now, I have been watching and I hope that on/before I clock 30 years , I will be standing giving my own talk on challenges of a female entrepreneur in Nigeria. I will be using my life as a case study.

12) CHAINS OF BUSINESS

I hope to have chains of businesses that will be solving problems and yet yielding money. If I don’t build one, I will be open to investing in lots of companies. Either way, all na business.

13) GET MARRIED

Just like every girl dreams, I too hope to get married to my noble man. I hope to raise a beautiful family. That beautiful one people say is a façade… Yea. I believe it exists and I want it. Dear husband, I talked about our dream wedding and I hope you like the idea.

14) BUILD A SUCCESFUL BRAND

It’s actually not easy building a brand. You spend years working on something only for you to realize that it was a only training ground. When God trains you, you have no choice but to be patient. Well, I am happy with what I do. It calls for so much self development and it’s challenging because there is still so much work to be done. I love it because the one who called me to it cannot bring me this far to leave me in the middle of the sea. So, before age 30, I hope to have a beautiful brand that inspires people in every area of their lives…young women especially.

15) ENVIABLE NETWORK

You know how you cannot worry yourself about anything because you sit among kings and queens. That’s right! That’s the goal. To surround myself with beautiful people and allow no room for negativity. I read an article written by Bill Gates on his relationship with Warren Buffet on LinkedIn and saw a video of Oprah Winfrey with Michelle Obama…..I tripped.

16) RECORD TWO SONGS

Or one. Really. I did about three songs while I was in school but life happened. I don’t even know how they left my phone. But remembering the lyrics and beat, I think I can do better now. I also receive my own lessons during project fame trainings. It might not be a hundred percent but it will go a long way. Just like acting too, this is just to flex my vocal chords.

17) ATTEND A MUSICAL CONCERT

Not just some random noise-filled-in-the-name-of-music concerts. Like real music. Original music. Soul touching.

18) VACATION

My favourite part 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 . But this time around, I want the vacation in one of those wood houses surrounded by lots of trees. Not like the horror movie kind of houses, of course, we will have neighbours. Just myself and him.

19) A BEAUTIFUL OFFICE

I want an office that will inspire me everyday. An office that I will effortlessly walk into at any time. Comfortable. Elegant. Beautiful. Simple. God dominated. Womanly. An office that spells accomplishment. I have quite a lot of pictures so it’s like a blend of all of them.

20) DREAM TEAM

Think of Alphabet (Google). Think of Facebook. Now, think of iModelAfrica. All in that same light. You can only shift if you are seeing three of us in a better light. 💋

By Gods grace, all these will be a dream come true. Amen.

What do we share in common? What’s on your bucket list?

We have almost everything in common apart from the pizza thingy. I’m not a sucker for it. I enjoyed reading your bucket list. Amen to everything.
