The name “Purple Saturday Pick” is not new to me at all. This name resurfaced from Memory Avenue. Lol .Before I say anything, I’ll like to share a short story.

“Back then after I graduated from school and was waiting for my NYSC posting, I did not want to remain idle. I am known for always having something up my sleeves. My flat mates kept me company whenever they did not go to school and trust me, it was all gossip. It was fun in a way… (I wee nor lie) but truth be told, it was not good for my ‘health’. I decided to go into clothing but I needed money to get the clothes, get a shop and package my business but the money was not forth coming. Everyone I met turned me down. Eventually I was able to borrow some cash from my friend, Hishighnex. I do not regret loaning that money from him because till date I have learnt a great deal (in a positive way and I mean it). My dear, I remember he loaned me about 25,000 Naira. I can’t really remember but the money could not get me the kind of clothes I needed to sell. My person, this B.sc holder in Mass communication from a reputable federal university, was forced to go to Onitsha main market to pick clothes and sell. Lol.  Even my father kicked against it and said I should go home. Going home was not an option because I knew I might just die of idleness. I could not get a shop so I started selling in front of my hostel back then (the popular Catholic Hostel in Temporary Site). My care taker didn’t like the idea and people were not buying because of the position. I had to meet a very popular hair stylist. She owns Comeset Salon in temporary site and the woman allowed me stay in her saloon and sell. I even had to build a little box to contain the clothes. I printed fliers and all, you won’t believe it. The images above and after the cut are the designs.  I called that venture “The Purple Saturday Pick” from the ‘Purpular Shop”. Purple was the name of my mother company back then and the Saturday pick was an idea for everyone to come shopping from me on Saturdays. I thank Adaobi Udegbunam Frances, my friend, who was very supportive at that time and still is. Chai. Looking back, I thank God though.”

The Purple Saturday Pick did not die after all because I have decided to bring it on again. I have fliers and even coupons people used to claim prices then. This time around, it will be better. Every first and last Saturday, I’ll give out gifts ranging from clothes( not Onitsha main market or bend down select o) really nice clothes, shoes, perfumes, belts etc. I’m still thinking of how to get winners for these gifts. This will be my own little way of saying thank you for taking time out to visit IMAB. I encourage everyone out there to keep hustling real and for you to wait on your pay day from the creator. He will plant you where you will be opportuned. I also thank those who refer people to this blog, we just started and you won’t believe the number of viewers every day. I also thank those who criticize constructively so that we get better. I want my readers to have good stuff in their wardrobe. Once I’m done thinking of that, we kick off immediately. Be ready to win and look good. See photos of other materials I used after the cut.
